Cofounders Greg Sewitz and Gabi Lewis met in college and founded Magic Spoon in 2019. They started out as a direct-to-consumer company, successfully capturing over a million consumers through their clever internet strategy before moving into retail. They have subsequently expanded to Amazon, Target, Walmart, Albertsons/Safeway, Sprouts, and other retailers. They have also raised more than $100 million in capital from celebrity investors such as Shakira, Halsey, The Chainsmokers, Amy Schumer, and Odell Beckham Jr. More for you. Can You Start a Business in the US as a Non-Citizen? Absolutely!

But, like, it's completely decided that the Dundee CAB database will be used to track down and find people for interviews, you know?

Yo, it's critical to note that an increasing number of migrants are contacting the Advice Bureau in Scotland for assistance in obtaining in-work benefits and ensuring that their wages are properly paid. Using the CAB database will allow me to flex on those who do not meet the criteria for inclusion, such as those who are not even listed in the CAB database. CAB provides free, confidential, and unbiased advice to everyone, regardless of race, gender, disability, sexual orientation, or nationality. They're all about ensuring that people don't suffer because they don't know their rights, are unaware of available services, or are unable to advocate for themselves. It's like this totally awesome organization of trained people and volunteers who give you all the details on government policies and offer advice on any personal, financial, or legal issues. OMG, so many people have used the service (Citizens Advice Bureau, 2014). It is lit!

However, the sampling fraction is approximately n/N, ya know? n is the sample size, while N is the population size. In creating my simple random sample (Bryman, 2008:172), I followed the key steps outlined in The whole point of going through this process is to ensure that there is virtually no chance of any human bias showing up. Migrant farm workers would not be hired simply because they were available and nice. The interview selection process was lowkey af, as if the participants had no idea they were part of a research investigation until CAB contacted them and revealed their involvement. OMG, in this study, we had people of various genders, ages, nationalities, immigration statuses, lengths of stay, and employment situations. Is it lit? OMG, there was so much heterogeneity in the sample!

Gender and average age of the family.

The vibes of the migrant farm workers interviewed were all about their situation, either at the time of the interview or when they last entered the UK for employment / CAB database. The features help to highlight the overall gender vibes and average age of migrant workers, you know? The table 3.1 above demonstrates that the male and female distributions are not equal, fam. 56% of all people interviewed were men. Table 3.1 also reveals that Polish men were significantly outnumbered by female respondents. The majority of people were young and not married. They were about 26 years old when the interview took place.Check this out: work permits are only for A2 nationals, ya know? They are issued under the Sector Based Scheme for a maximum of 12 months. Just saying. A work permit can be obtained by both highly skilled migrants and low-skilled workers for approved seasonal agricultural and food processing jobs. Once a work permit is issued, highly skilled migrants must apply for an Accession Worker Card (AWS), whereas low skilled workers are not required to do so. After 12 months of nonstop grinding, A2 nationals flex and apply for the lit registration certificate that grants them unrivaled access to the UK labor market. OMG, in 2013, the rules for people moving to the UK from Bulgaria and Romania changed. Previously, people from eight other countries had been allowed to work in the UK since 2011 (Migration Advisory Committee, 2011).

Immigration Status.

Migrant farm workers, like the people in this study, came to work and settled in the UK through various agencies of access. OMG, so if someone's immigration status in the UK is restricted, they are basically stuck with specific responsibilities, and their access to benefits and services is determined by that. It's so unfair!  I couldn't even figure out how undocumented, irregular, or migrantsWho entered as tourists or asylum seekers and had ridiculous restrictions on their immigration status were completely seeing the migration world in terms of equality and cultural clout because they weren't the ones being studied, you know? OMG, trying to prove all of that stuff is far beyond the scope of my thesis. The A8 migrant respondents in this study entered the UK through the Worker Registration Scheme, which allowed them to work and live there under the same conditions as other EU citizens. They didn't even have to obtain a work permit, you know? When they arrived in the UK, they landed a legitimate gig with the same vibes as other EU peeps. They had to flex and apply for a registration certificate through the Worker Registration Scheme within one month of starting a new job in the UK. The A2 nationals (Romanians) were completely flexing a work permit before landing a job in Scotland. However, the migrant participants in this study (both A8 and A2 nationals) are now free to practice their work skills.
